IN GRATITUDE

Teachers who held the door open.

These are the rinpoches whose quiet encouragement to pursue mind training changed my life. Thrangu Rinpoche and Bardor Tulku Rinpoche have since entered parinirvana; what they offered stays. Dungse Pema Rinpoche continues to carry the lineage. They let me sit beside them, ask clumsy questions, and learn how to listen. I offer this small record in gratitude, keeping their kindness in memory and naming the people who shaped what I carry.

Thrangu Rinpoche
Thrangu Rinpoche

The Very Venerable Ninth Khenchen Thrangu Tulku, Karma Lodrö Lungrik Maway Senge. A tulku in the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism, the ninth reincarnation in his line. He had just finished laughing at something I'd gotten wrong, and let me take the picture anyway.

You don't have to walk it alone.

If something here met you where you are, there's more to walk beside.
